In Vienna are ready to accept peace talks and ready to negotiate with the ISS to avoid Putin’s arrest

Austria’s Foreign Ministry stated that the country is ready to accept the negotiations of the President of Ukraine and the ruler of the Russian Federation, for this purpose Vienna is ready to consult with the International Criminal Court the issue of avoiding the arrest of Vladimir Putin during his visit.

Details: The Austrian department noted that the country “has many years of experience in holding international meetings and promoting dialogue and ready to act as a place and a mediator in possible peace talks, if the will of the parties.”

The foreign policy department reminded that Austria is the Contracting Party of the ICS Roman Statute, which previously issued a warrant for the arrest of the Kremlin Putin’s head. However, it is possible to consult with the ISS to ensure Putin’s participation in Vienna negotiations.

“All States Parties are obliged to execute the ICS warrants for arrest, as well as Austria. At the same time, there is an opportunity, given the Agreement on Headquarters with International Organizations in Vienna, to come into contact with the ICS to enable Putin,” the Austrian Foreign Ministry said.
