President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Mykola Tochytsky a permanent representative of Ukraine at the Council of Europe. The Tokytsky will hold a position instead of Boris Tarasyuk, who previously performed these responsibilities.
Mykola Tochitsky has many years of diplomatic experience and has previously held key positions in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Its purpose occurs against the background of active work of Ukraine with European institutions and strengthening of diplomatic presence in the Council of Europe.
Zelensky emphasized that Totchitsky will continue to strengthen cooperation with European partners and uphold Ukraine’s interests in the international arena, in particular in security, democracy and human rights.
Tochitsky, for his part, stated that he was ready to effectively represent Ukraine and promote the deepening of cooperation with Europe in all key areas of cooperation.
