The day before, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that the Russian military on the night of August 19 carried out another massive attack on objects of energy infrastructure of Poltava region, using at the same time winged missiles and percussion drones, resulting in large -scale fires.
“At the same time, several dozen drones attacked one of the production facilities of the gas transportation system of Ukraine. Pre -established damage to the ground infrastructure of the facility, ”the message said.
They recalled that the last blows on the refining infrastructure were recorded on June 15 and 21 this year.
The Ministry of Energy reported that since March 2025, the Russian forces have made more than 2,900 attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, and called on the international community to increase sanction pressure on the aggressor state and provide Ukraine with additional support to protect critical infrastructure.
