According to Bloomberg sources, at some point European leaders asked Trump to use their influence on Orbana to force him to refuse to counteract Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
The call of the Hungarian Prime Minister was “after an additional, unplanned meeting of EU leaders in the oval office,” the agency says.
His sources added that during a conversation with Trump, Orban also expressed his interest in taking negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky.
Orban himself did not speak publicly about talking with the President of the United States, but earlier on Tuesday opposed Reconstruction of Ukraine’s membership in the EU to security guarantees for it.
