Preparation occurs sometimes with the ahead of the plan.

In particular, the head of the government confirmed that by the end of the year it is planned to import 4.6 billion cubic meters of gas for the accumulation of 13.2 billion cubic meters of “blue fuel” in underground gas storage facilities.
“We prepare the energy system for the winter of 2025/26 (heating season – UNIAN), we protect objects, accumulate inventories … We protect critical infrastructure due to increased protection of energy objects from attacks,” Sviridenko said.
In turn, the Minister of Energy Svetlana Grinchuk added that in 2025 it is planned to repair the objects of 3.2 GW generation, and noted that the “most of the” objects have already been repaired. Speaking of preparation for the heating season, she noted that “the gas is going according to the plan, sometimes even with the ahead of the planned indicators.”
The minister also added that more than 600 MW of distributed generation had already been introduced this year.
“Here I talk about gas generation and generation from renewable energy sources,” Grinchuk said.
Gas reserves and energy recoveryDue to the fire of gas infrastructure and record low gas reserves in the spring of 2025, Ukraine was forced to significantly increase the import of “blue fuel” and look for money for it.
On August 13, Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko announced that the EBRD would provide 500 million euros for the purchase of imported gas under the guarantees of the European Union.
Prior to that, Naftogaz of Ukraine has agreed with state banks about more than UAH 9 billion of gas loans.
On June 20, during the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada, then the Minister of Energy, Herman Galushchenko, declared plans to import 4.6 billion cubic meters of gas.
According to energy expert Gennady Ryabtsev, Ukraine should accumulate at least 13.5 billion cubic meters of gas before the heating season.
Slowly restored and enemy destroyed by the enemy. In 2024, then the then Minister of Energy, Herman Galushchenko, declared more than 3 GW of destroyed generation. In 2025 it was planned to put into operation 1 GW of new generation.
