It became known that changes in payments are already being discussed.

The Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine in a comment for RBC-Ukraine told whether they plan to change the payment system for Chernobyl pensioners in the future. It turned out that changes in payments are being discussed.
It is noted that the Ministry of Social Supports proposes to make payments for living in the contamination zone, regardless of the attachment to the radiation contamination zone.
“But they will be set for a limited period of time. For example, for 3-5 years. And they will be fixed in absolute amount (UAH 2 361), and will not be indexed. An alternative offer – to provide such an allowance, provided that the family has a garden that is radiation and there will be no means of consuming.
The publication reminded that the supplement to non -working pensioners who reside in the zone of unconditional (compulsory) resettlement and in the zone of guaranteed voluntary resettlement is paid if they lived or worked in the area between April 26, 1986 until January 1, 1993. In April 2025, 639,000 pensioners were registered in Ukraine who were injured by the Chernobyl disaster.
In addition, Law No. 796 provides for the provision of utility benefits, fuel purchase, phone use, etc., if the amount of the average monthly total family income per person for the previous half of the year does not exceed the amount of income that gives the right to a tax social benefit. In 2025, this figure is 4 240 UAH.
The ministry emphasized that since 2015, some categories of privileges are provided taking into account the total income of the family. However, some persons were given privileges without taking into account the income of the family.
“The norm on the unified approach to family income will not apply to combatants and persons with disabilities as a result of war. For them, approaches to granting privileges do not change,” the Ministry of Social Apostles said.
Will the pension increase in 2026Earlier, lawyer Olga Bus told UNIAN whether a pension in Ukraine is expected to increase next year. She noted that the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a budget declaration for 2026-2028.
The bar stated that the social pension should increase as it depends on the subsistence minimum for disabled persons. The year 2026 is planned to increase the subsistence minimum for disabled for 203 hryvnia.
The lawyer added that the increase in the minimum pension is also projected as it depends on the amount of the subsistence minimum for disabled persons.
