Media: US discussed with allies security guarantees for Ukraine in NATO 5 format

Some of the conversations with US President Donald Trump concerned security guarantees for Ukraine “Article 5” with the support of Europe and the US in the event of a peace agreement, CNN unnamed European official said.

According to him, NATO will not participate in these guarantees.

The exact details of the proposal are currently unknown, and it is not clear how these guarantees will be implemented.

The source of the Interfax-Ukraine agency reported that during a conversation by US President Donald Trump, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders, the American side offered security guarantees in article 5 of NATO without NATO.

“As one of the safety guarantees for Ukraine, the American side suggested that Putin, Non Non Article 5 Type, a guarantee,” the source said.
