Six of the best projects will go to the second stage of selection / photo ua.depositphotos.comThe Swiss National Bank has published 12 possible designs of new Frank’s banknotes. The bills will depict “Switzerland and its height”.
Bloomberg writes that each of the six banknotes is dedicated to a separate region – from valleys to mountains.
The regulator has currently launched an online survey that will last until September 7 to make the public. At the same time, the designs will be evaluated by the Council of External Experts.
The six best projects will be held to the second stage of selection, which will focus on potential cooperation and commercial aspects. The final decision remains in the Central Bank of Switzerland and will be announced in early 2026.
“We are convinced that cash will remain widely used in the future,” said President Martin Schlegel.
