Alexander Domolega: “I feel as if I start with a pure sheet”

One of the summer beginners of the left shore became Alexander Domolega. Earlier, the goalkeeper performed in the Poltava “Vorskla”. The football player told about adaptation as part of a new team.

– Alexander, how are your first impressions in the left bank?

– All is well. Impressions are very emotional, because for me it is all new – a team, an atmosphere, a dating. I feel as if I start with a clean sheet.

– Who do you communicate with now in the team?

– Most with Sergei Kosovsky – we live in the same room, so we automatically intersect and communicate.

– Last season you played against the left shore as part of Vorskla. What was that match?

– Yes, that match was the first full -fledged match in UPL. We played in the winter, before the vacation itself. Difficult weather conditions, slippery field – all this influenced, but not justification. The game was flat, went to the first goal. Unfortunately, I missed from Sydney, and we lost 0: 1.

– Sydney remembered that goal?

– Yes, his first words were to me: “I killed you?” And I replied: “It was necessary to beat in a distant, not a neighbor.” They laughed. It is football, everything is honest here-today rivals, tomorrow-partners.

– You also went on the field against Shakhtar last season. It was unexpected?

– He came out in the second half because of Pavel Isenko’s injury. I was ready because I knew he had problems with his knee. The game, of course, has already been made – the score was in favor of Shakhtar, but every minute on the field is an experience.

– Vorskla has always had strong competition among the goalkeepers. Who did you level on?

– When it came, Dmitry Raznik was the main one. Very strong goalkeeper. I took a lot, I like his style so far. And from the more experienced, as a child he was fond of a library of the rag, who then played for Metalurh Zaporozhye.

– What can you say about the goalkeeper coach Sergei Dolgansky?

– He gave me a lot – both as a coach and as a person. They constantly communicated, analyzed, disassembled. Even now we call, we keep in touch. Only the warmest words.

– Why did I decide to go to the left bank?

– There are very good conditions. Everything is new, modern, created to grow. Nothing distracts – thoughts only about football. There is a prospect, and this is the main thing.

– Modern football requires a goalkeeper of playing. How do you handle it?

– This is a mandatory skill. Not a question of preferences is a time requirement. We are constantly working on this – both in the main training and in individual, specialized. It’s interesting and I try to progress.

– The team now has serious competition among goalkeepers. How do you perceive it?

– Very good. Competition is always development. Roman Zhmurko, Maxim the mechanics – all strong. And this is what makes it grow, fight, improve.

– How do you cope with psychological pressure after unsuccessful matches?

– The most important thing is to draw conclusions and go on. He analyzed – and forgot. There is no point in returning thoughts to an error, if you do not correct it. You live on, train, work.

– Have you always been a goalkeeper, were there any other positions in your childhood?

– ran a week in the field, saw the Seye on TV – and decided to become a goalkeeper. Since then – never regretted. This is my position.

– Do you have a Fortress gloves or any rituals?

– Separate training, separately game. Nothing is too farm. Just comfort and quality. If the gloves are good – the game goes.

– Which of the partners is the most difficult rival in training?

– Dmitry Shastal is very unusual in his actions. Ruslan Dedukh has a powerful blow. And Sydney can always surprise. In general, we have a powerful attack line.
