The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft Law on Ratification of the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Turkish Republic.

The document proposes to ratify the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Turkish Republic, which was concluded on 03.02.2022.
Melnychuk noted that the implementation of the agreement:
- will promote further development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between countries;
- will allow domestic producers to gain benefits from the liberalization of the markets of goods and services of the Turkish Republic;
- It will open up opportunities for Ukrainian businesses both for expanding markets and for the development and modernization of their own production.
We will remind, the agreement on free trade between the governments of Ukraine and Turkey was signed on February 3, 2022 in Kiev. The ceremony was attended by Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Recep TaiP Erdogan.
The agreement provides for a mutual step -by -step cancellation of import duties for industrial and agricultural goods.
In May 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the document and submitted it to the Verkhovna Rada.
