The CPC stated that the DBR “does not change previously qualified crimes and does not add new articles, change the description of the circumstances of the crime.”

On July 11, she became aware of Shabunin’s searches at the place of service and at home. Subsequently, the DBR reported that the activist was suspected of systematic evasion of military service and the use of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces without legal grounds.
The CPC suggests that the DBR’s charges relate to the episode and the period of time from September 2022 to February 2023, when, during the stay of its unit, Troy in the Kyiv region in Sukholucci Shabunin, according to the CPC, was seconded to the National Corruption Agency (NAK). The organization called the DBR’s prosecution absurd.
Shabunin considers criminal proceedings against him “a step on the way to the corruption authoritarianism of Zelensky.” The President’s office did not comment on this case.
On July 15, the court appointed Shabunin a preventive measure in the form of a personal obligation.
Last March, Vitaly Shabunin, Chairman of the Board of Corruption Center, argued that the State Bureau of Investigation registered two criminal proceedings against him for allegedly evasion of military service and forgery from NAPC documents.
He stressed that he did not evade military service, and also published a photo of a military ticket, stating that he made a military oath on February 25, 2022. Shabunin considers him “idiotic”.
Then the DBR stated that Shabunin’s criminal case obliged the court.
