Yermak about leakage quotes from a closed meeting with students: Didn’t think to do extra PR

Presidential head Andriy Yermak responded to publication in Economic Truth during a closed meeting with students. The official wrote in a telegram that he did not think to do an extra PR at this meeting. But once it happened, then gave a reference to the material.

– The Chatham House rule is about trust and mutual respect. I did not think to do it from meeting with students, but I was decided to do it. I agreed to meet with the students because young people are always heard question. It was emotionally, I liked it. There was a lack of issues about the war, technology and construction of the future, for which Ukraine wins its independence along with a significant and significant place in the modern world. The meeting of Yermak with students took place on August 1, organized by the Kiev School of Economics (KSE). Yermak told about the fact of a meeting in a telegram.

Economic Truth published a decryption of questions and answers, receiving them from the students present at the meeting. KSE President Timothy Milovanov criticized the EP edition for publishing quotes from a closed meeting, as the participants warned the corresponding ban. He called this violation of journalistic standards.

The article said that “this event became a response to the rallies for the independence of anti -corruption infrastructure, in the forefront of which was just a younger generation.” Milovanov, in turn, claims that the President’s office was not related to the organization of this meeting.
