The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) appealed to the court with a request for removal from the post of chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU), accused of illegal enrichment for more than UAH 72 million and declaring false information.

According to the SAP press service, after sending an indictment to the court, an attempt was made to eliminate the judge of the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court from the consideration of the case on the grounds of the possibility of influencing it by the accused through the exercise of his powers as chairman of the AMCU. Thus, the defender of the official in the statement of dismissal states that he can make a decision, including negative ones, regarding the enterprise where a member of the judge’s family is employed. The accused was supported by this statement.

“In order to prevent the unlawful behavior of the accused, who, when considering the application for a dismissal, personally confirmed the opportunity to use his position to influence the participants in criminal proceedings through their close persons, as well as obstruction of criminal proceedings otherwise, the SAP prosecutor went to court with a relevant request,”

The SAP notes that during the pre -trial investigation, the prosecutors did not contact the investigating judge with such a request, since the official did not attempt to use his position to obstruct the pre -trial investigation.

The message is not called the name of the person, but it is clear from the context that it is about the current head of the AMCU Pavel Kirilenko.

On July 7, the case of the chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine Pavel Kirilenko, who is accused of illegal enrichment and false declaration, was transferred to court.

The criminal proceedings against Kirilenko NABU began in March 2024 on the basis of the facts in the investigation of Schemes (Radio Liberty Project).

In March 2024, “Schemes” published an investigation that Kirilenko’s family in the period 2020-2023 purchased cars and a number of real estate objects in Kyiv and the region, as well as in Uzhgorod, a total market value of more than 70 million hryvnias, not having sufficient.

In a comment to Schemes, Kirilenko stated that the source of wealth was the starting capital of the family, which was formed in the 90s, when the grandmother of his future wife sold the shares of the Styrol plant in Gorlovka, obtained by her as an employee of the plant. Journalists failed to find official confirmation of these operations.

After the Scheme investigation, Pavel Kirilenko indicated in the declaration for 2023, where he lives-apartments of 200 square meters in Kiev worth 6.2 million hryvnias, decorated on a 77-year-old grandmother of his wife. At the same time, Kirilenko did not indicate the BMW car, which his mother -in -law owns, but the wife of the AMCU chairman used.

On August 28, 2024, the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court refused to grant the petition of NABU and the SAP to take the head of the AMCU Pavel Kirilenko in custody and identified a preventive measure in the form of a pledge of 30 million hryvnias and an obligation to wear an electronic bracelet.

Later, “Schemes” learned that this money was made by Kirilenko Cemeramet company, whose beneficial co -owner is businessman Edward Mrtchan.

On June 4, 2025, the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court partially granted the petition of lawyer Kirilenko and reduced the collateral to UAH 25 million. At the same time, the court denied the request to allow Kirilenko to go on business trips abroad.

On June 5, 2025, NABU and SAP reported the suspicion of the head of the head “In the aid of illegal enrichment”, as well as the new suspicion of Pavel Kirilenko himself – “in the non -policy of property”.
