Year from the beginning of Kursk Operation: How Ukraine made Russia panic

Exactly a year ago, on August 6, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched the Kursk operation – our response to permanent Russian shelling of the border territories of Ukraine, and gave a good cling to the generals who dreamed of seeing the flag of the Russian Federation in Kiev. The showers and leaks of information from the ranks of servicemen, rumors, espionage, listening and publications on social networks made their black business – the enemy knew almost every minute where the Armed Forces would hit today and where tomorrow would dig trenches. And this was also the cause of a completely exhausted state of Ukrainian soldiers in Sumy, Pokrovsky, Toretsky, Kherson directions: they were pressed with “meat storms”, thrown away with shells and bombs, while Western assistance passed the Hungarian Customs (more precisely).

It was necessary to extract the enemy’s strength from the Sumy direction and to show that Ukraine was not only defending but also advance. The Kursk operation began unexpectedly and in the first days such success was because they knew about it. It was preparing in the conditions of harshest secrecy: the technique was hiding in the forests, the military spent the night in abandoned houses, and the movement was masked for training. Ukrainian officers learned about the start of the operation three days before its beginning, ordinary – a day.

From politeness, literally informed the event, in particular the United States, they say, on August 6, there were plans … The Allies did not interfere – however, the Russians then shouted at all corners that this “Western leadership” sent Ukrainians to Kursk forests.

Sudzhi who was “ours” On August 6, at 5 am, unknown “tourists” and “releases” (Russian terminology, operated in Donbass in 2014) crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border near the city of Sudzh. The border guards politely put their noses in the ground, and they did not resist: together with hiking “tourists” about 10 thousand people “visited” tanks, APC and BMP.

On the first day, the newcomers made a visit to 11 Russian settlements on the way 15 km and looked into the western part of Sudzh. There “tourists” were very interested in such a landmark as the composition of ammunition, which was intended for the offensive of the Russian Federation in Sumy region.

At the same time, Ukraine kept intrigue for several days and did not formally announce whether its citizens are now walking in Kuurian forests.

From August 7 to August 10, the Armed Forces expanded control to 430 square meters. km, visited the Sudzha gas metering station. While the Ukrainians were “traveling”, Russian servicemen turned into “tombs” for their loved ones, and the peaceful fought in a panic, not knowing what to do and where to run.

By October, the Armed Forces were taken under control of up to 1000 square meters. km of Kursk region, including 28 settlements. Sudzha was completely under the control of Ukraine until mid -August. At the same time, social networks appeared in the Sudzha Radninka sample, the requirements to hold a referendum on joining Ukraine and open the Ukrainian mail branch and supermarkets. All this in a humorous way, of course – at the same time, Ukrainians recalled all their occupation techniques to the Russians.

At the same time, Ukrainians treated chickens more than normal – even helped with foods, water and medicines.

“Released!” Of course, hysteria happened in Russia. Of course, the United States was accused of everything. Of course, they were convinced of the frightened population that the Armed Forces would reach the Kursk NPP and undermine it, having arranged a nuclear winter in the territory of Kursk region under their control. The most moody in social networks was shouted by the Russian expansion of Medvedev, without sparing epithets and threats.

For fear, Russia turned to North Korea for replenishing its delicious troops, who died bravely during the storming of deserted Ukrainian villages and forgot about their own. The Koreans sent whom they were not sorry – almost all of them were disposed of or captured. The remains returned to the DPRK, their further fate is unknown.

To repel Kurchyna, Russia has transferred to at least 50,000 soldiers from other directions. They returned about half of their territory. In March this year, the Armed Forces left the judges and retreated to more favorable positions near the border.

Russian authorities have announced the full and unconditional “liberation of the Kursk region”. At the same time, villagers in this part of Kursk region still cannot return to their homes, the evacuated ones continue to live at temporary placement points, where they are already expelled. Separate units of the Armed Forces are still in the Kursk region, so captured statements on TV about “full release” are somewhat premature.

Errors will be taken into account The Kursk operation forced Russia to transfer considerable forces to this region – at least 10 battalions from Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya and Kupyansk directions. This redeployment weakened Russian positions on other fronts, in particular, in the Pokrovsky direction. Despite the fact that the Russians claim that they have come together again and ready to step down, so far they carry the unfortunate Pokrovsk Fabam, unable to overcome several tens of kilometers to him for a year – the Armed Forces fiercely bite and do not allow the enemy to approach.

But they know in the Ukrainian army and about their mistakes during the Kursk operation. First, the Russians had fire control over logistics routes that were supplied by the Armed Forces in the Kursk region. Secondly, the Ukrainians were unable to become effective in this territory because of the rapid counter-offensive of the Russian-northern Korean army. Third, the offensive was carried out by a too limited resource, which led to the depletion of elite units of the Armed Forces.

The mistakes will be processed and taken into account, and the Russians received a lesson that is unlikely to be learned, judging by their militaristic rhetoric. The Ukrainians understood the main thing: in the war they do not chat unnecessarily and do not start operations without a well -designed plan.
