As they explained to the Ministry of Defense, “cartoons” are an additional option, not replacing “pixel”.
The purchase of trial parties of the new camouflage “cartoons” / photo of the Ministry of Defense has been announcedIn June, samples of a new camouflage pattern for the real property of the military – MM -25 – “cartoons” were approved. This camouflage will supplement the MM-14 camouflage known as Pixel. About it reports the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Telegram.
In particular, pixel remains, but there is an additional variant of camouflage.
“As early as June 2025, the Ministry of Defense, at the request of the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces and requests of the military, approved samples of a new drawing for real property – MM -25. The purchase of trial parties in a new camouflage has already been announced – 20 thousand units,” the message said.
As they explained to the Ministry of Defense, it is an additional option, not the replacement of MM-14.
“The central department of material support development has updated the technical specification. Manufacturers are already getting acquainted with new standards,” – the message reads.
The transition to “cartoons”As reported by UNIAN, the chairman of the reservists of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces Ivan Tymochko said that today 30% of Ukrainian military dressed in camouflage “cartoons” and may take less than two years. Now on the front line, many servicemen use “cartoons” in parallel with “pixel”.
As Timochko notes, the shape, its color, and this has already been proven repeatedly, affects the course of the battle, the preservation of personnel. The “cartoons” and its variants today are already trying to use massively and Russians, because their swamp camouflage is suitable in Russia, but is demanding in Ukraine, because we have another landscape, other colors of vegetation in different periods.
