Peter Paul assured that the Czech Republic and other allies of Ukraine never legally recognize the occupied territories in Russian.
Peter Pavel stated that the event does not want the extermination of the Ukrainian nation / photo – UNIANThe temporary occupation of part of the territory can be the cost of survival of Ukraine as a sovereign state. This was stated by Czech President Peter Pavel in an interview with BBC.
In conversation with journalists, he stressed that the event does not press on Ukraine on the return of all the territories occupied by Russia. Pavel noted that the Allies of Ukraine do not want the extermination of the Ukrainian nation.
“We want it (Ukraine – UNIAN) to survive as an independent sovereign country. If the price of its survival is that part of the territory is temporarily occupied, then it is an acceptable price. We never legally recognize these occupied territories in Russian,” the Czech president said.
Pavel believes that now and in the foreseeable future, Ukraine is not able to liberate the territory occupied by Russia, even with the support of the West. He stated that in this case it would not be possible to do without great human losses.
The Czech President called for journalists to continue providing military assistance to Ukraine. However, he stressed that the war cannot be won on the battlefield. According to him, it is necessary to force the Russian Federation to sit at the negotiating table, putting economic pressure on it from Europe and the US.
“In the interests of both sides of the Atlantic to put more economic pressure on Russia. This pressure is very effective in terms of persuasion. I believe that given the current state of the Russian economy, they will not be able to withstand the economic pressure for a long time. So sooner or later, if these measures are implemented, there will be no other choice.
In Azerbaijan advised Ukraine never to agree to occupationEarlier, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev advised the Ukrainian people to never agree to the occupation. He recalled the dispute of his country with Armenia for Karabakh, and also emphasized that the Azerbaijanis conquered the territories.
Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan did not agree to the occupation, and Ukraine needs to follow this example.
