It is a young poet and a fighter for the independence of Cyprus, executed by the British authorities in 1957. The image of the 19-year-old hero was used in the Paphos Club logo.
The colors of the emblem – white, blue and golden – come from the symbolism of the former clubs of the region and were updated in the 2018/19 season, when the image of Pallicaridis made more expressive and recognizable.
Pathos – A football club from the city of the same name in Cyprus, founded in 2014 as a result of the unification of two local teams: Apop and AEK Kukliya. The club performs in the High Division of the Cyprus Championship. The home -made stadium in pathos contains about 9500 spectators. The club owner is Russian businessman Sergei Lomakin.
Paphos first became the Cyprus champion in the 2024/25 season, and before that he was the winner of the Cyprus Cup 2023/24. In the 2024/25 season, Paphos made his debut in the European Cups: after leaving the Q1 League of Europe, he was qualifying the League of Conferences and even released in the spring stage, where he stopped in the 1/8 finals. In the 2025/26 season, Paphos team presents Cyprus in the Champions League qualification.
The first match of the 3rd Qualification Round of the Champions League between Dynamo Kyiv and Cyprus Paphos will be held on August 5 in Polish Lublin. The match is scheduled for August 12 at Cyprus.
