For the first half of 2025, 18,277 new companies were registered in Ukraine, but closing has become more – since January 6,653 businesses have stopped, 19% more than last year.
This became known from the open data of “Openatable”.
Most new enterprises appeared in Kyiv, Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk regions – at the same time, these regions are headed by the number of closers.
More than a third of new companies opened in the capital – 5 830. The leader among closers is Kyiv – 717 companies.
Much of the new businesses are the spheres of wholesale, IT and real estate, with the IT sector show the highest growth rate-plus 48% of registration per year.
