“The vote of the Parliament for the restoration of the independence of anti -corruption bodies was a positive and necessary step towards returning lost trust. Further reforms in the fight against corruption are now needed, ”the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in the social network K.
On July 31, the Verkhovna Rada approved as a whole and as a whole, the bill of President Vladimir Zelensky on “Strengthening the powers of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office”. Zelensky has already signed this document.
On July 22, the Verkhovna Rada supported the Law No. 12414, which, as it was reported, limits the independence of NABU and SAP. After that, NABU Chairman Semen Krivonos urged the President of Ukraine to veto the bill, but Zelensky signed him the same day.
These legislative changes have provoked protests in Ukraine, as well as concern from Western partners.

Subsequently, President Zelensky introduced a new bill to the Council “Strengthening the powers of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.”
The National Anti -Corruption Bureau positively evaluated the Bill No. 13533, submitted by the President. According to the assessment of anti -corruption bodies, it restores all the procedural powers and guarantees of independence of NABU and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
