“Military technological sports are not about the future, it is about now. Ukraine is the first in the world to recognize CTF with official sports discipline, and we are already creating a national system of cybersports training. The Federation, together with state and technical partners, forms a new infrastructure of cyber resistance, military and technological sports of Ukraine.
In 2025, CTF discipline within the framework of military and technological sports was officially recognized as a sport in Ukraine-for the first time around the world. After that, the first official regional competitions began, which took place on July 26-27, where the finalists were already elected.
The competition was held at the Unit Range National Cyberpoligo with Cyber Unit Technologies. The participants solved the tasks in the web, Crypto, Reverse, Pwn, Osint, Forensics categories, including Cyber Lab Special Author Challenge.
Within the regional cybersecurity championships, the best teams in certain areas were identified. The Samurai team won in Vinnytsia region, the second place was taken by Cyber Support, and the third – RCE Ninjas. In the Rivne region, the first place was won by the 0xrivne team, the silver got NUWM, and the bronze – 404team. Among the teams of the Nikolaev area was the leader Barracuda, the second place took Ghost in the shellcode, and the third – 0xmk UA.
These teams will represent their regions at the Cybersecurity Championship of Ukraine in September 2025.
In addition, on July 26-27, the Cyber Unit UnITED tournament was held, which received the official status of the national selection stage. The DcUA team won the competition, the second place was taken by Byteme, and the third – DTTUA. In addition to the winners, the teams DNACADEMY, GONGO, Exploit, Snufkink, XYZ.NXT, 0xsum and Localhost were also received.
The prize -winners of the regional competitions fall to the finals of the Ukrainian Cyber Commodity Championship. Its winners will form the basis of the national team, which will present Ukraine to European Cybersecurity Challenge 2025 in Poland. In addition, the finalists will receive grants on the Cyber Development Master’s Degree at Set University.
