The State Customs Service of Ukraine will not temporarily carry out documentary inspections of enterprises that have the status of authorized economic operators (AEO), as well as entities with a small degree of risk. The exceptions are companies that work with excise goods.

This was reported by Acting Head of the Customs Audit Department of Ternopil Customs Galina Boruk at a briefing.

“The moratorium will probably last for a year and only cover low -risk enterprises and authorized economic operators. To date, there are 10 such enterprises in the Ternopil Customs activity zone, ”the LCA representative said.

She stressed that according to the NSDC decision, the customs authorities have no right to carry out planned or unscheduled inspections without clearly defined grounds or approval with senior management. Verification is possible only in case of risk or within the current criminal proceedings.

At the same time, restrictions do not apply to enterprises that operate with “high risk” products – in particular, excise ditches (alcohol, tobacco, fuel) or double -purpose goods.
