According to her, the Transbalance Pipeline (passing through Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and part of the Odessa region of Ukraine) opens access to the liquefied gas that goes from all over the world to Greek and Turkish terminals and to the Azerbaijani gas, which is transported by the transadriatic gas pipeline.
At the end of 2024, Ukraine did not extend the agreement with Russia on gas transit. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine stated that this decision was made “in the interests of national security”.
