DSNS: In Odessa the tree fell on a tent with children, one teenager died

In Odessa, during the bad weather, the tree fell on a tent in which the children were located, causing one teenager to die, the State Emergency Service reported on July 28.

It was reported that it happened the day before in the city of Balta of Podilskyi district.

“During the sudden deterioration of the weather, a strong wind broke. One of the trees fell just on the tourist tent where the children were. Rescuers got four teenagers and handed them over to doctors. Unfortunately, the fifth guy could not be saved, ”the message reads.

The Podilsky District Police Department reported that they were investigating the circumstances of the child’s death.

“Investigators have previously established that minor locals and a guy from Odessa, who came to visit his grandmother, rested near the Kodyma River. When the thunderstorm began to hide in a tent under a tree, which during a strong gust of wind broke and fell on them. Unfortunately, a local 15-year-old guy was killed in place. Four more girls with various injuries were sent to the hospital, ”the message reads.

The police added that the event information was entered by the investigator in the Unified Register of Pre -trial Investigations under Article 115 (1) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine marked “accident”.
