“Sergey Chuprin lived a dramatic life”, – WRITE: Sport.ua
Life path and trace in sports Sergey Chuprin was born on July 17, 1980 in Vinnitsa. From the early school years, Sergei began to handle handball at the children’s and youth sports school of his hometown. The team, for which the guy played then was very strong, with promising players, who in the championship of Ukraine in their age category became fourth. Serious results allowed many young handball players to move to the local Gipanis team after completing the Junior School. Sergei also got there. He played the positions of the left half and central. Then the team managed to become the Vice-Champion of the First League of Ukraine, which allowed to increase in the classroom and move to the Higher League. However, because of financial difficulties, the team ceased to exist, and Chuprina began to train at a higher education institution where he studied.
Most of the handball players, after the School, entered the Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University, and some – to the Vinnytsia National Technical University. Among them was Sergei. He studied at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and also received a diploma of physical culture and sports manager in parallel.
During his student years, Sergei was part of the Handball University, became the University Champion among Vinnytsia Higher Education Institutions, and was a player of the team of his region, which competed at all -Ukrainian Spartakiads and other tournaments.
After the university of Chuprin went to the army. He served in a sports mouth. It was with his assistance that a handball team appeared in that military unit. Sergei trained and trained others. Thanks to him, soldiers participated in the handball competitions for the first time and even became the winners of the regional tournament.
After returning from the army, Chuprin got a job at Privatbank, and later, at the invitation of his friend on the team, went to the Vinnytsia food factory. Despite his work, he always found time for handball. After graduating from a sports career, Chuprin played among veterans, he was a team captain with which he won the Ukrainian Championship and other tournaments. In addition, he was actively engaged in the development of his favorite sport – organizing competitions, in particular he helped to hold an interregional tournament in Khmelnyk in Vinnytsia in Vinnytsia in Vinnytsia.
Combat path and death As for one person, too many trials have fallen into Sergius – to endure the death of his young daughter and see the war with his own eyes. At the end of 2022 it was mobilized to the 116th separate mechanized brigade. Chuprina was trained in Lviv region. Sergiy’s battle route began in the Zaporozhye direction, where then the most fierce fighting with the invaders. In one of them near the village of Probologovsky district in Zaporozhye, on July 26, 2023, Sergei Chupryn and died, which became known only at the end of March 2024.
At home, Sergius was waiting for the last mother and brother. Long eight months of encouraging silence, which, unfortunately, has never brought good news.
On April 1, 2024, the warrior was held in his native Vinnytsia and buried on the Walk of Glory of the Sabari Cemetery.
