According to the Belarusian Radio Liberty Service, exhibition stands are located on the banks of the Vltava River, the so -called surfacing – this is a very popular place for prajans and tourists.
The panel exhibition presents the famous and little -known stories of seven Belarusian, Ukrainian and Russian political prisoners, which were imprisoned by the regimes of Russia and Belarus. Some of them are now at large, others are still in prison.

In particular, individual stands are devoted to:
? Jelya was released from the Russian prison at the end of June 2024.
?
• Citizen of Ukraine Irina Danilovich, journalist and public activist from the occupied Crimea, who was sentenced to 7 years in prison. Being in prison, she bump one ear and suffers from other diseases.
• Russian citizen Arseniy Turbin, a schoolboy and the youngest political prisoner in Russia, which in 2023 distributed anti -war postcards. In 2024 he was sentenced to five years in prison in a penal colony for minors. He suffered torture and abuse, lost 17 kilograms in prison.
“In the former Czechoslovakia we had our own experience of political processes and political prisoners. Therefore, we cannot be indifferent to what is happening in our neighborhood. Belarus is our European neighbor. We cannot be indifferent to what is happening on the occupied lands of Ukraine and in Russia itself, ”said the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in a comment to Radio Svoboda, adding that supporting political prisoners is a long -standing part of Czech foreign policy.
The Foreign Ministry says that this exhibition wants to be reminded of cases and fates of specific people who are examples of courage and durability in difficult times.
The exhibition in Czech and English was prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the organizations “Man in Poor”, the Prague Center for Civil Society and Gulag.cz. The exhibition will run from July 18 to August 15, 2025.
