The Russian Federation has condemned a 26-year-old resident of the occupied Kherson region to 12.5 years of colonies for “state treason”

The Russian court in the occupied part of the Kherson region condemned a 26-year-old local resident to 12.5 years of a colony of the general regime on charges of treason, the court press service reported.

According to the investigation, in August 2023, while in the territory of Genichesky district, she made contact with an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine and transmitted data on the places of deployment of military equipment and personnel of the Russian army.

“This data could be used to cause fire damage to the locations of Russian military and other persons,” the press release reads.

The woman’s name is not indicated in the court. According to the Mediosones, it is a 26-year-old resident of Genichesky district Darya Pavlov. When she was detained, it is unknown. The prosecutor’s office brought her case to court in March 2025.

At the end of 2024, the project “The First Division” estimated that in Russia, after a full -scale invasion of Ukraine, 792 people became involved in criminal cases of state treason, espionage and confidential cooperation with a foreign country. At least 201 people were sentenced in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Human rights activists believe that many cases were related to the provocations of the FSB, and their victims are users of social networks who are in anti -war and opposition publications.
