The former chairman of the Board of PJSC “Carpathian Department of Geophysical Works” will be judged in absentia in the framework of criminal proceedings for appropriation of almost UAH 2.2 billion of funds of PJSC “Ukrnafta”.
This was reported by the press service of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (Bab).
According to Bab, the case is related to the investigation of a large -scale theft in Ukrnafta, which, according to the investigation, is also involved in businessman Igor Kolomoisky. Within the scheme, 38 fictitious contracts were allegedly for geological and thematic works, but these works were not performed, and the funds were withdrawn in the interests of the participants of the scheme.
The former head of the enterprise, according to the investigation, is hidden in Austria and was made on the international wanted list. In July 2025, the Ukrainian court allowed him to carry out a special (correspondence) pre -trial investigation.
The materials of the court register indicate that the events of 2013–2014 are referred to. During this period, the company was headed by Vladimir Kisel.
