Umerov offered a Russian Federation next week – Zelensky

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov offered the Russian side a meeting next week, and also stressed that Ukraine was ready to meet at the leadership level. The Head of State reported this in his traditional evening address.

– Negotiations with the Russian side on exchange are ongoing – we continue to comply with the arrangements of the last meeting in Istanbul. The team is currently working on another exchange. Also, the Secretary of the NSDC Umerov reported, that suggested the Russian side next week. The negotiation dynamics should be increased. You need to do everything to reach the ceasefire. And the Russian side should stop hiding from decisions.

Cartel. Return of children. Termination of killings. And the leadership meeting is needed to really provide the world – really long. Ukraine is ready for such a meeting, – said Zelensky.

The head of state also said that the conversation with the Russian Federation is continuing. In particular, the arrangements of the past meeting in Istanbul are continuing, and now the Ukrainian team is working on another exchange.

• On July 19, Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Foreign Minister Andriy Sibig. One of the topics were EU sanctions against Russia and the need to synchronize actions with European partners.
• On July 10, Zelensky stated that until the parties had completed the exchanges agreed at the second meeting in Istanbul, to talk about full negotiations between Ukraine, Russia and the United States early.
