The 27-year-old Portuguese died on July 3 in a car crash in Spain, along with his younger brother Andre Silva, who was also a football player. According to Zhota VLVZ, he held 131 matches and scored 44 goals, played a key role in the club’s release to the Premier League in the 2017/18 season and in the release of the Europa League a year later.

“This is an exceptional situation that did not need long discussions,” said the club Vice president John Richards. – “We want to honor his memory as soon as possible. This is our sincere gesture of love and gratitude.”

The club plans to spend a moment of silence and other memory measures during a match with a village on August 9, as well as in the start-up match of the Premier League against Manchester City.
