The women’s biathlon women’s team has already crossed the Equator of the Summer Preparation for the Olympic Season. Behind the native green Carpathians, snow -covered even in the summer the glaciers of Austrian Ramzau and the everlasting Italian Antholtz – the place of the nearest Olympic biathlon battles!

The Champion spoke with Christina Dmitrenko, who is one of the leaders of the Ukrainian team. The 26-year-old biathlete this year finished the 11th in the individual race at the Lenzergide World Championship, repeatedly, thanks to the qualitative results, punched the way to the Masstarts, and these are important scores in the team basket.

The ideal Antholtz sucks forces – How did the previous meetings differ in terms of the nature of training? Somewhere there were more skisorollers, somewhere, somewhere firing. What and where were the accents?

Last month, a lot of working volume came out, cross and roller coaster was more if you watch an electronic diary. The focus was on everything, mainly – work on roller, warm -up and hits, shooting.

– How did you personally “survive” the previous stages of preparation? Where was the hardest thing and where is the easiest one?

-How important was it to visit the summer at the Olympics 2026? Aren’t you planning to change the configuration of the highway or stadium for games?

– There is really solid height here (1635 m above sea level)the route differs, not as winter. And whether they will change something or not, I do not know. In my opinion, everything is perfect there.

Almost football injury but not critical – Meeting is to some extent an opportunity to “feel the body” before the season. What signals do you “send” your body in terms of physical readiness? Was there no damage, micro -injuries that would be knocked out of the process?

– Knee injury is, meniscus. It appeared in the middle of the 2024/25 season. There was discomfort, but only after the first gathering made an MRI. The injury is not critical, coaches and doctors adapt to this training from time to time. In general, as I fulfilled the training plan by 99 percent, I can say that everything is going according to the plan.

– Since you are one of the leaders of the season according to firing statistics, please tell us more about the shooting at the meeting. What turns out that not, maybe some details?

– From the first gathering, she began to add in speed. And so, it is too early to draw some conclusions. When the time is coming, I will be able to see what was better and worse.

– In Antgolka now, almost the whole biathlon world gathered – with which of the other teams managed to cross? Maybe they had a joint test start with someone?

– Unfortunately, almost no one was at the time we were there. On the last day of our gathering, Americans came. It would be very interesting to have a joint control with other teams, although it is better not to do it now, but after collecting in Otta, when we do developmental and high -speed workouts.

– This year there is no Summer World Cup, but I want to compare myself with other athletes and see what I am at. Championship of Ukraine – Currently, the only planned official start.

-As for me, every training collection in its own way “fun”.

– What do you do in the period between meetings when you can rest something?

– I spend time with my family, restore my body, but I do workout every day. Not because I need, but because I like it.
