The victim of such a scam was a 40-year-old resident of Kolomyia, who sought help from police after the funds disappeared from her account. The woman on the Facebook network came across a link – which turned out to be a fraudulent trap. It is about receiving cash payment from the state – a “package of a student” in the amount of 5 thousand hryvnias.
To register the so -called service, you must enter the bank card data. This was enough for fraudsters to access the victim’s financial data. And in a few minutes, 20,000 UAH was written off from the woman’s account.
Tips from police how not to get into a trap of scams:
– check the link carefully: fake addresses often contain unnecessary characters, errors or look unusual;
– official payments are made through state services – check the information carefully;
– Do not enter your personal and bank information on unfamiliar sites.

– Collect all the evidence: screenshots, bank transactions, links and contact the police at 102.
