The Russian court condemned the 53-year-old Crimean for the State Consult

The Supreme Court of Occupied Crimea condemned a 53-year-old resident to 17 years of a strict regime in a state treason. According to the investigation, the accused opposed the Russian invasion of Ukraine and, as claimed, established contact with Ukrainian military intelligence.

The Russian side claims that the accused collected and transmitted data on the location of fortifications, personnel, military equipment and positions of units of the Russian army. There are no other details of the case, the treason cases are considered in closed mode and classified, it is impossible to check the statement of Russia independently.

At the end of 2024, the project “The First Division” estimated that in Russia, after a full -scale invasion of Ukraine, 792 people became involved in criminal cases of state treason, espionage and confidential cooperation with a foreign country. Human rights activists believe that many cases are related to the provocations of the FSB, and their victims are users of social networks, who are in anti -war and opposition publications, resembles a TV channel “Perseverance”.
