On Monday, July 14, Trump confirmed that he agreed to the weapons supply agreement to Ukraine, and boasted that the US was producing “the best military equipment in the world.”
New equipment will be manufactured for NATO and available for further supply to Ukraine.
“We produce the best equipment, the best missiles, the best of all, European countries know it, and today we have concluded an agreement that we will supply their weapons, and they (NATO, ed.) Will pay for it,” he said.
Rutte, in turn, said that Ukraine would receive a “huge amount of military equipment”.
“This will mean that Ukraine will be able to get a truly huge amount of military equipment, both for air defense and missiles, ammunition,” he said.
NATO Secretary General has stated that it is in touch with “many countries” that intended to join this Agreement, in particular, he mentioned Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Canada.
He also noted that NATO would work through its mechanisms to “know what Ukrainians need.”
Trump also expressed disappointment by Russia and promised to introduce “very harsh tariffs” against herif the peace agreement is not concluded in the near future.
