On the night of July 12 in New York, in the Madison Square Garden arena, a boxing tournament took place in which women exclusively competed. There were as many as seventeen championship zones. Never in boxing history, the tournament was so tightly saturated with duels for titles.

In the main confrontation of the tournament, 36-year-old Amanda Serano Puertotor and 39-year-old Irish Katie Taylor completed her trilogy. At the last battle of Amanda, she came out as an athlete, who, in her opinion, did not give a potential victory in previous meetings. And finished-losing for the first time, without any compromises.

Both styles are a problem for a rival. After all, Serrano does not manifest itself in a cautious, tactical box. And Taylor is not a great master of power lines.

This was based on the success of two previous fights: one of the boxers in one way or another tightened the rival in his style. And usually it was better. Katie had to go, work in the middle and closer distance, throw much more strokes than usual.

However, you can confidently say that Katie managed not to “squeeze” in any of the duels, although this was the calculation. That is why she was able to defeat both times.

The victories were controversial – Serrano struck, had an initiative and looked convincing. She made the rival boxing at a convenient pace. And although Taylor did well, many fans did not agree with the judges’ decisions.

The third match had to put a point in a dispute. And he put it – Serrano lost.

The Amanda battle plan was unclear. She, without obvious reason, gave the rival the initiative – allowed that control the course of the battle. She began to compete at a distance, work Jeb and in a tactical way – which is not her strength.

What next? It seems that neither Taylor nor Serrano plan to finish his career, despite his age – 39 and 36 years, respectively. But psychologically, Serrano will not be easy to return after defeat.

Katie was looking at another battle against Shangel Cameron – another client Jake Pala – the only one who was able to win her. Subsequently, Taylor took revenge. However, the trilogy is unlikely: according to Katie, Cameron will not be able to sell thousands of tickets, so such a battle is financially impractical.

A possible meeting of the winner with Alicia Baumgardner was also discussed before the match. She performed in the evening of battle and defended the status of absolute champion. However, it is unknown whether Jake Paul wants to bring her against Taylor.

Baumgardner will have to gain weight, and the rival will not be from her promotional team. In addition, her battle did not impress so much as to be sure of victory over Katie.

Instead, Serrano – Baumgardner’s meeting looks quite logical. Both are able to give a vivid show, with active exchange, which is beneficial to the promotional company Jake Paul. Even in the event of a serrano defeat, she will be replaced by a younger athlete. And in the case of victory – it will be a new impulse for several more matches.

One thing can be said for sure – women’s boxing continues to develop rapidly. Jake Paul has not signed a lot of female athletes: it is a multi -million dollar business that is just starting to blossom.
