The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko spoke about the first results of the audit of criminal proceedings related to economic entities. Of the about 20,000 such cases, the Attorney General’s office has already closed 3756.
According to Kravchenko, formally the proceedings had some reasons, but did not investigate for years, did not contain objective evidence of the crime or had no prospects in court.
Currently, more than 4,700 proceedings are undergoing examinations, and 120 cases have already been sent to court. Work on the rest of criminal cases is ongoing.
Earlier we wrote that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the appointment Ruslana Kravchenko as a prosecutor General. 273 MPs voted for the corresponding decision on June 16.
