In particular, according to the investigation, the Ukrainian enterprise paid funds for fertilizers, but the Belarusian side delayed the fulfillment of obligations. The deputy took advantage of this situation and began to tell the entrepreneurs that there were no necessary permits for cargo transportation. He knew exactly about their presence, but under the guise of a “solution” the missing problem demanded to conclude an agreement on the provision of consulting services with a business entity under his control, the DBR said. Finding yourself depending on the actions of the deputy and trying to obtain previously paid products, the Ukrainian enterprise was forced to agree to its terms, to conclude an appropriate contract and to make additional payment of services.

The received funds – UAH 14.5 million, the deputy used them for the purchase of three premium clin cars – Porsche Macan, BMW X5M (2021 release) and Mercedes -Benz AMG (2022 of the issue), which was issued on controlled persons. The declared total customs value of these vehicles exceeds 250 thousand euros, law enforcement officers report.

Thus, Shevchenko additionally reported a new suspicion of fraud committed by a prior conspiracy of a group of persons in particularly large amounts (Part 4 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction provides up to eight years in prison.

The suspect is currently in custody. Investigative actions are ongoing.

The DBR confirmed that as part of the investigation of this episode, searches were searched by the former Minister of Infrastructure, which may have been assisted by the People’s Deputy in the implementation of his fraudulent actions.

That preceded: The source of “Ukrainian Truth” in the morning of July 11 reported that the DBR was searched to the former head of the Ministry of Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov.

Kubrakov himself stated that “neither to the People’s Deputy Shevchenko, neither to Belarus, nor to the purchase of fertilizers, whether any other frauds have nothing to do with.”
