The inhabitant of the village of Radcha, Ivano-Frankivsk region was fined UAH 1700 after his German Shepherd bitten a 10-year-old girl. This decision was made by the Tysmenytsia District Court.
According to the court decision, the incident happened on April 12. The dog was nicknamed Mars ran into a nearby yard and bit the child for his forearm. The girl was taken to the regional children’s hospital, and her mother declared to the police about regular violations by the owner of the dog. The man did not appear at a court hearing, explaining it a trip to treatment abroad. As a result, the court found him guilty of violating the rules of keeping animals (Part 3 of Article 154 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), obliged to pay more than 600 UAH of court fees and decided to confiscate the dog.
The resolution will come into force after the expiration of the appeal.
