The government was later explained that Alexander Tsyvinsky’s candidacy was to be rejected, which was submitted for approval by the commission for the selection of the Director of the Bureau of Economic Security, after receiving additional materials from the SBU.
“The government has also examined additional materials provided, in particular, the Security Service of Ukraine concerning national security issues and containing appropriate security estimates”, – it was reported in the Cabinet report.
At the same time, the Government of the Resolution to hold the competition again and asked the commission to “re -submit no more than two candidates” to the position of director.

According to many experts, the government’s decision should be corrected urgently without waiting for the end of the month. In particular, it is necessary to appoint a Beb leader until July 9 inclusive.
As the government made its “shameful” decision just before the International Conference on Reconstruction of Ukraine (URC2025), which will be held in Rome on July 10-11. There, as planned, Ukraine will ask for financial assistance to reform and fight corruption.
