Aussie teens from the 2010s will no doubt remember Aussie boy band and comedy group The Janoskians.

Elder brother Beau Brooks, twins Luke and Jai Brooks, and friends Daniel Sahyounie and James Yammouni went viral back in 2011 for their hilarious YouTube videos, pranks on Melbourne locals and each other, mockumentaries and skits, and, of course, their pop music releases, such as Set This World on Fire and Best Friends.

Despite boasting 2.6million followers on YouTube, the boys went silent on the video-sharing platform in 2018, with Jai Brooks confirming two years later that they had called it quits.

But over five years later, what are the famous brothers up to now?

One die-hard Janoskians fan found out, taking to TikTok to reveal that she had come across the once-famous brothers on various dating apps.

‘When you were once a massive fan girl of the Janoskians and paid them to just acknowledge your existence for 7 seconds,’ TikTok user Stephanie captioned the now-viral clip, which has amassed 1 million views.

She added: ‘Forward 10+ years later and are now matching with them on dating apps.’

The social media user went on to share screenshots of the former stars’ dating profiles.

Beau, 31, who is now a warehouse worker at Amazon, was found on Bumble by the TikTok user.

The former star’s bio read: ‘Looking for a woman [who] serves God first and is seeking something long term and serious to get married.’

She also matched with Jai Brooks, 30, on Hinge, who posed in a singlet that showed off his buff biceps while standing next to a self-made tiger painting in one photo from his dating profile.

‘My self-care routine is: Gym and sports,’ he shared as one of his prompts.

James, 29, was also on Bumble and said that he was looking for a life partner as one of his prompts.

Fans of the boy group flooded Stephanie’s comments section, gushing over their love for the iconic boy group and reminiscing over their peak fame.

‘Nah if I matched with jai brooks im keeping that offline and locking in,’ one person wrote.

‘Living for this. my janoskians era feels like a fever dream,’ another penned.

One person added: ‘Seeing ariana grandes ex bf on hinge is insane,’ alluding to Jai Brooks, who dated the popstar briefly in 2012.

‘Shoot for the stars baby girl, living the Janoskians fangirl dream,’ another wrote.

Another chimed in: ‘People will never understand the 2012/2013 janoskians era.’

Even Jai Brooks himself commented on the post, writing: ‘Oh ffs Beau I was there first’, to which Stephanie replied: ‘Double date?’

Beau, Luke, Jai, Daniel and James formed the comedy group in 2011 and rose to fame on social media with their gross-out humour and prank videos.

The group, who hailed from Melbourne, came up with the name by creating an acronym for ‘Just Another Name of Silly Kids in Another Nation’.

In addition to having their own MTV series and Netflix movie, the boys also toured as a band and at one point sold out London’s Wembley Arena.

Making names for themselves globally, the boys appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and even dated Hollywood A-listers.

However, their popularity eventually declined and the group stopped updating their main channel in 2018, before confirming in 2020 that The Janoskians had broken up.
