Details: In his letters, Trump noted that the US decided to continue economic cooperation with these countries, despite the “significant trade deficit”. At the same time, further trade relations, according to Trump, should take place “on more balanced and fair conditions of trade.”

According to the announced plans, from August 1, 2025, the following tariffs will be operated on all goods from the listed countries without exception:
- Japan, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Tunisia – 25%;
- South African Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina-30%;
- Indonesia – 32%;
- Bangladesh, Serbia – 35%;
- Thailand and Cambodia – 36%;
- Laos and Myanma – 40%.
At the same time, as stated in letters, if countries decide or produce products in the US, no tariffs will be applied. Trump also promised to “do everything possible to provide all the necessary permits” for such investments.
