Sinner: “I don’t feel the winner. He deserved to play in the quarterfinals “

Yannik spoke after the match in which Grigor Dimitrov starred due to injury”, – WRITE: Sport.ua

World Rating Leader Jannik Sinner gave a flash-interview at the court after the 1/8 finals of Wimbledon-2025 against Grigor Dimitrovin which Bulgarian in the third set starred due to the injury of the right pectoral muscle:

– It was a difficult moment for Grigor Dimitrov. In such moments, it is very difficult to find the right words. Sorry to put you in this situation. Probably, it is not easy for you, especially to see how your opponent, a colleague suffers. What do you think about now?

– Honestly, I do not even know what to say … He is an incredible player, I think, today everyone saw it. He has not been very happy in the last couple of years. He is a stunning tennis player, my good friend. We understand each other well and out of court.

To see him in this situation … This is, however, very difficult. If he had at least some opportunity to play in the quarter -finals … He deserved it. Now I hope that he has recovered as soon as possible.

It’s really very sorry for him. I don’t take it as a victory. It’s just a very sad moment we all worry now.

It seems to me that even at the last Grand Slam, he fought a lot with injuries. And to see how it repeats again is very difficult. We have all seen in his reaction how much he loves this sport. He is one of the most working players in the tour.

Dimitrov led 6: 3, 7: 5 and in the fourth game of the third party filed Aes on a gameball, then grabbed the right muscle of the chest and removed from the match.
