The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has made a decision on the forced seizure of 1592 wagons owned by Russian companies. These assets will be transferred to the property of the Ukrainian state.
The document states that confiscation is carried out to mobilize Ukraine’s financial resources and prevent Russia’s access to economic assets that can be used to finance war.
The decision was initiated by JSC “Ukrzaliznytsya”.
Among the companies that are subject to confiscation are “web-lining”, “Web.FF”, “Gazpromtrans”, “Financials group”, “Transparentner”, “Nord”, “Organic synthesis”, “State transport leasing company”, “Regional Dodorsnab” and others.
This decision will be another step within the framework of the state policy to block Russian assets in Ukraine.
We wrote earlier that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that according to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, Ukraine will synchronize sanctions against Russia with international partners.
The Verkhovna Rada registered a bill, which provides for the personal liability of the members of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine for the adoption of illegal sanctions.
