Career Artem Romanov was born on May 17, 1978 in the Dnieper. Artem studied at the school № 75 of his hometown, then graduated from the Dniprovsk Higher Vocational Technical School # 17 in the specialty of an electrician, after which he worked as a freight forwarder at the central pharmacy warehouse.

Artem was fond of military reconstruction, searched, identified soldiers who died during World War II. On a volunteer basis, Romanov assisted the Dmitry Yavornitsky Dniprovsky National Historical Museum, a participant in the theatrical excursion about the Second World War “We will be soldiers.”

Artem Romanov has been active in Dnipro for 25 years. In the Fanate environment he was nicknamed “dumplings”.

Combat experience and death Like most representatives of the Dnipro Fanate Movement, Artem took an active part in the events of the Revolution of Dignity-as part of the 19th Hundred Self-Defense of the Maidan. After the same in the spring of Ukraine in the spring of 2014 the war began, Romanov in August the same year was mobilized to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the war, he became a Grantomettor of the 2nd assault “Afghan” company of the 24th separate assault battalion “Aydar”. The army had a call sign.

On July 4, 2015, Artem Romanov suffered serious injuries during the planned extension of mine-explosive barriers (undermining on mini) around the 29th checkpoint on the Bakhmutka highway near the village of Donetsk. When trying to evacuate the seriously wounded soldier, Roman Tsapa was killed by sergeant Dmitry Demkovsky, junior sergeant Ivan Smolyar, soldier Dmitry Kovshar. Artem Romanov died of injuries in the hospital.

Honoring The warrior was buried in the Krasnopil Cemetery of the Dnieper. At home, my mother stayed without a son.

July 4, 2016 for personal courage, conscientious and impeccable service to the Ukrainian people, exemplary military duty Artem Romanov was awarded the Order of Courage III (posthumously).

The warrior was also awarded the medal of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church “For sacrifice and love for Ukraine” and the badge “Dignity and Honor”.

In May 2016, a memorial plaque was opened in Dniprovsk Secondary School No. 75 in honor of the graduate of the school Artem Romanov.
