For the first time in the history of Girnyk-Sport was headed by a foreign coach. Markosky, who at one time advocated the Poltava Vorskla, will prepare a team from Gorishni Plavni for the 2025/2026 season. Under the leadership, the team started training at the beginning of this week.
Jovan Marcoski was born on June 23, 1980 in Belgrade. For nine years (from 2006 to 2015) he played for Poltava Vorskla in the midfielder. He spent 226 matches for Vorsklyan and scored 19 goals. Together with Vorskla he won the Cup of Ukraine in 2009.
Prior to the transition to Mirnyk-Sport, Jovan Marcoski worked as the head coach of the Radnichka (Obrunovac) team, who performed in the third league of the Serbia Championship.
As it became known Sport.uaMarcoski signed a contract with a team for a year. Initially, it was planned that Marcoski would be at Zelko Lubenovich’s headquarters in Vorskla, but as a result, Jovan found himself in FC Mineknik-Sport.
Markosky will help another known in the past Vorskla player – Paul Rebenok. The post of goalkeeper coach remains vacant, as Dmitry Stoyko became one of Lubenovich’s assistants.
