Ukrainians who are in Poland are not a source of significant crime growth – the Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Vasyl Bodnar said in an interview with Glavcom. According to him, almost 2 million Ukrainians living in the country account for only 0.7% of all crimes.
Most of them are not severe offenses, but disorders as speeding or driving drunk, which account for 65% of all recorded cases.
Bodnar stressed that despite the single incidents, Russian propaganda and individual media are trying to create the image of a “bad Ukrainian”, exaggerating the influence of Ukrainians on the criminogenic situation in Poland.
We will remind, Poland has decided to temporarily restore control on borders with Germany and Lithuania. This is done to restrain the flow of illegal migrants.
We have also reported that the head of the Polish Ministry of Culture Anna Vrublevskaya has announced that exhumation work in the former village of Zaloyskaya, which is now part of Lviv, may start in the second half of this year.
