Germany seeks to help Ukraine so that it has the opportunity to negotiate from the standpoint of force.

According to the UNIAN correspondent, Germany Minister Johann Vadeful said this in Kiev at a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga.
“We want to help Ukraine so that it negotiates from the standpoint of force. When Putin talks about peace today, it is a pure ridicule and mockery. His willingness to negotiate is only a sign. He wants to capture all Ukraine and sow fear in Europe,” Vadeful stressed.
The German minister noted that in recent weeks, Putin had further increased attacks on Ukraine.
According to him, the cruelty of Russia shows that it is an attack on Ukraine as a free democracy.
“You are very courageous. Putin sees it and expects our support to weaken that our attention will switch to new crises … And so I say very clearly: in Germany, Putin will not succeed. We will stand unwaveringly on the side of Ukraine and we will have to support you.”
Vadeful added: “We know that peace will not come when the peace comes. When aggression is stopped, and for that, you should, first and foremost, be able to protect yourself.”
He assured that it was for this purpose that Germany would increase Ukraine’s support. In particular, this year, Germany has planned to allocate additional almost 2 billion euros, which will go to modern air defense systems, equipment and ammunition. In total, Germany’s assistance will increase to 9 billion euros for these purposes.
“Only when Russia realizes that the calculation of admiration and surrender will suffer a collapse – only then will a real chance of negotiations will appear,” Vadeful is convinced.
He also said that he had discussed the way of increasing pressure on Russia today.
“We will continue to work on this in both the EU and in the Great Seven. We will continue to limit Putin’s ability to fill the military treasury through the supply of oil and gas. We strive, at the same time, and at more cohesiveness and more speed, for more determination. The price you need to pay to support Ukraine and protect freedom in Europe, “Vadeful said.
