In Germany, they seek to help Ukraine on their own faster weapons. According to the UNIAN correspondent, the Federal Foreign Minister of Germany Johann Vadeful said in Kiev at a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga.
Vadeful assured that Germany has a very firm position in support of Ukraine. The minister visited the place of a destroyed apartment building as a result of a Russian air attack in the Solomenskiy district of Kyiv.
“Putin’s attacks are systematic. They correspond to the cold calculation. He wants to break the will of Ukraine for resistance. It is impossible to allow innocent children and women to die from these attacks. The will of Ukraine to hold on to me.
German Foreign Minister noted that his country wants to continue to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense system.
“We agreed to strengthen cooperation in the defense industry, to create new joint ventures, so that Ukraine has produced weapons faster and more independently,” Vadeful said.
In this regard, as the German minister added, a delegation from the defense industry arrived in Ukraine today. The minister said:
“Our cooperation in the defense industry is a trump card. It is a logical continuation of our supply of materials and equipment, and this is a mutual benefit for us.”
Vadeful also asked what German enterprises, which are presented in the defense industry delegation, intend to engage in Ukraine.
“I think we are moving to a new phase of cooperation and that we want more active activity of German enterprises. There is readiness, but we need to overcome some bureaucratic obstacles in cooperation, and therefore, I have taken representatives of the German defense industry in order to discuss these topics,” the minister said.
Vadeful expresses the hope that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will support this determination.
Help Ukraine from GermanyAs reported by UNIAN, Germany plans to allocate 1.9 billion euros to support Ukraine this year, in particular for the production of Ukrainian long -range weapons. In general, this year, Germany’s assistance in support of Ukraine will increase from € 7 billion to about 9 billion euros.
