The final in the Bad-Homburg
“So far, this is definitely the best grass segment in my career. I really liked in the Bad-Gurgg, I got the pleasure of the game. The fact that I started training on the grass earlier than usual helped. Now I feel that my level has become higher. The number of matches played also added confidence, and I will need it to overcome future trials. I am glad to play there – meetings with the best always benefit. ”
Transition from soil to grass
“This is not 180 degrees, but I can’t say that everything has become perfect. For me, this is still a complex coating. I need a few more years to fully adapt, although it is a little easier every summer. I did not stay at home – I went to the Majorka to train. It was necessary to adapt to other movements, to change the blows a little – everything is different than on the ground. In the end, everything rests on self -confidence. On the grass you need to trust your blows. In Bad-Khoburg, this sometimes worked-I plan to go this path and further. ”
Adaptation to the grass and calendar
“This is a difficult question – everyone has their own problems and their vision. In my opinion, the schedule is too saturated, even too much. There is no point in playing more than 20 tournaments a year. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a home tournament, because you need to participate in the mandatory WTA 500 in order not to lose points and not fall into the rating. These responsibilities and rules only create pressure. I think tennis would still look even if we played fewer tournaments. This would help us to be more stable in the long run. Tennis is a difficult sport: you start from scratch every week. But it is important to remember that tennis is not life. You need to be able to look wider and be proud of yourself even when you do not win. ”
Victory at Junior Wimbledon-2018
“It seems as if it were in another life. Maybe then it was the most important moment in my career. I remember the victory seemed something unrealistic. On the other hand, I returned home and nothing has changed – I was not a professional yet. At that time, it seemed to me that it would be perfect from this moment, but I was disappointed, because everything remained as before. I had to train again, go to ITF tournaments. It helped me remind me that everything is just beginning. But the main thing I realized then: maybe I will really become a professional tennis player. ”
Mikst with Casper Rud on US Open
“I really like to watch how he plays – especially if we are on one side of the court. I once said that if she were a boy, she would probably play a fortweed like a casper – he makes it very beautiful. It will be a pleasure to play with him – I hope we can go far, even in the mix. We will not have much time for training, so I will focus on enjoying and trying myself in another format. ”
