Military Andriy Pereverzev, who was captured by the inscription “Glory to Russia” on the body, told that he wanted to return to service if he would allow health. In an interview with United24 Andrew confirmed that he saw the inscription after the operation, which he was conducted after the wound, writes Hromadske. To withstand the conditions in captivity, the man helped that he promised to return to his daughter.
Military 79 Separate Airborne Assault Brigade (79 UDSBR) was captured in February 2024. Then he was in positions, reflecting the storms of the Russians. However, in an instant, a grenade exploded next to him, causing him injuries.
At first, the military thought that he had torn his legs with an explosion, because he did not feel them. The Russians who pulled him out of the armor, they say, were also surprised that he survived after he was not breathing and had no pulse. He was subsequently taken to Russian positions, where he was examined, but did not provide assistance.
– In fact, the scars I have now were open wounds. I think I am constantly fainting due to blood loss, – said Andrew.
After that, the Russians “congratulated” him so that he “did not forget where he is”, hitting his five -liter plastic water bottle on his head: “It was their” welcome “. When the military came to mind again, he was interrogated. According to him, he knew that he would try to “break”, so he began to “tell them fairy tales”, inventing answers to their questions.
– When they found out which unit I was from, it really made them. They were angry, – the military said.
The torture lasted until the morning of the next day – during this time, the Russians struck a current on open wounds of the military. He was then sent to the hospital where the operation was performed. When the Russian nurse came to Andrew to replace the bandage, she said to him, “Don’t worry when you return home, you will be covered with a tattoo or something else.” He himself did not understand what she was talking about.
For the first time, the Ukrainian military saw the burned inscription when it was transferred to the ordinary ward: “I looked and got. I said, “You are all of the scum. I’ll shoot you all.” According to him, the inscription was made by the surgeon with the help of a medical soldering iron. As for medical interventions, he was told that his bladder, urethra and rectum had been torn from the explosion. Some of the rectum was removed.
To sustain the conditions in the captivity of Andrew helped that he promised to his daughter to return: “And every day I constantly told myself,” I’ll be back. ” Now the military plans to return to serve if the results of surgery doctors will allow him to allow him.
- On June 9, the clash Report extended a photo of the Ukrainian soldier liberated from captivity, on which the inscription “Glory to Russia” is visible on the body next to the scars. On June 10, a representative of the Main Department of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Andriy Yusov confirmed that the photo is real. He explained that the picture was taken by the Ukrainian doctor during the inspection of the defender released from captivity.
- On June 15, Ukrainian doctors reported that the procedure for removing the inscription – the first procedure was in injection of polynucleotide, which in cosmetology and medicine is used to stimulate cell and tissue regeneration.
