Shmigal: Ukraine received the 5th tranche of EU assistance at the expense of Russian assets

Ukraine received another 1 billion euros From the European Union, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal reports on June 13.

“This is the fifth tranche of the EU macro -financial assistance within the ERA initiative. We raise the funds for key expenditures of the state budget, ”he commented in his telegram channel.

According to the head of the government, Ukraine has received from the European Union in total already € 7 billion as part of the ERA initiative. This assistance is provided by income from the use of immovable assets of Russia.

Shmigal thanked the partners for their support:

“Together we will force the aggressor to pay for all the damage caused to Ukraine.”

Last week The Ministry of Finance has reported signing an agreement with Japan About the next tranche for more than $ 3 billion within the ERA mechanism.

The Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) of G7 provides Ukraine with approximately $ 50 billion in the form of loans secured by profit from frozen Russian sovereign assets. These funds are aimed at supporting the budget, military needs and restoration of Ukraine’s infrastructure.
